THE JAPANESE PERSPECTIVE ON CHINESE MEDICINE
Tuesday, October 05, 2021, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM EDT
Category: NON FSOMA CEU Classes

Dr Butch Levy is an integrative MD and NCCAOM licensed practitioner of Chinese Medicine. He will draw upon his twenty-five-year mentorship with Dr Miki Shima to present his knowledge and experience of the physiology, pathology, and treatments of the Eight Extra Vessels and the Channel Divergents.

The Japanese herbal medicine paradigm, Kampo, will also be emphasized, explained, and demonstrated in this program. It is believed that toxicities in the body are manifested in the Hara of the abdomen. This paradigm then uses the abdominal exam, and its specific areas of muscular tensions to reflect where there is imbalance. Then combining the patient’s symptoms and this exam, a pattern of illness is revealed and can be matched with an exact formula for treatment.

These topics will add a new viewpoint of treatment possibilities with the goal to move it from the classroom to immediate application in your clinic. From this seminar, participants should be able to start using the Kampo technique to then prescribe formulas for your patients.
